CUSS (Cryo Upper Stage Structures). The goal of this R&D program under ESA GSTP framework was to develop and validate use of CFRP 3D preforms to produce a large interface ring (4.3 M) suitable for Ariane 6 type applications. In March 2016, The Demonstrator was presented at the JEC (Journées Européennes des Composites and received the Golden Award in the Space category; in July 2016, the Final Review for this program was successfully held at ESTEC.
