Sonaca North America has a supplier management and procurement team that is responsible and authorized to contract maintenance, repairs and overhaul (MRO), capital equipment, raw materials, detailed components, processing, logistics, partial subcontract requirements, shop and office supplies and services.

In coordination with our engineering and manufacturing teams, our management and procurement specialists determine the source of supplies along with the negotiation of commitments using our standard terms and conditions, along with any customer specific flow downs in support of providing quality products on time. This process ensures our customers receive the highest quality products and services from certified suppliers.

Authorization Policy

The Supplier Management team maintains authority for all contractual arrangements with Sonaca North America suppliers. Employees representing other functional areas may contact suppliers (or potential suppliers) for the purpose of acquiring technical or other information, the buyer will serve as the primary contact for normal requests regarding purchase order requirements and contract information.

Supplier Relations Policy

Sonaca North America’s policy is to treat all suppliers fairly and impartially while seeking to develop and maintain long-term relationships that benefit both the buying and selling organizations. In addition to competitive bidding, the supplier evaluation and selection process shall take into consideration supplier ability, quality and delivery performance, capacity, financial stability, location and integrity and all other appropriate factors.

Suppliers are encouraged to share suggestions for product improvement and cost reduction opportunities, as well as provide updates on market and product information.

Conflict Mineral Policy

Sonaca North America - DBA LMI Aerospace is committed to compliance with Section 1502 of the U.S. Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act.  To satisfy customer requirements and the goals of the Act, LMI and its suppliers will strive to provide only conflict free products through responsible and appropriate sourcing activities.  LMI’s approved suppliers, both public and private, are required to conduct due diligence on the presence of Conflict Minerals in their supply chain and provide accurate reporting and certifications on the presence of Conflict Minerals in products provided to LMI.  Suppliers unwilling to implement procedures which assure only conflict free products are supplied to LMI may be ineligible for LMI approved supplier status.
